Instrumental-Automation Technician
Location: Mentone, TX and Surrounding Areas
Schedule: 5/2 Rotation (5 days on 2 days off)
Pay 35-42
Hours: 8 -10 hour days (Rotational Weekend Call Outs Required)
- Able to utilize technical skills to troubleshoot
production instrumentation, and automation electrical components.
- Working knowledge of control circuits in PLC switches
- Provide field instrumentation support for all process
equipment (pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-mechanical, electronic systems)
- Perform
installation, calibration, and maintenance on instrumentation and
automation systems used in the oil and gas industry. (Upstream and Mid-Stream)
- Implement and diagnose communication systems including
Rosemount, and Hart Protocols
- Configure
and troubleshoot variable frequency drives.
Working on medium voltage drives, running, troubleshooting
and assets
PLC programing
Instrumental-Automation Technician
Instrumental Automation Technicians are responsible for the
installation and maintenance of Instrumental and Automation systems utilizing
the latest technologies and trends in the Gas & Oil Industry. The ideal
candidate must be a self-starter, organized, reliable, demonstrate a desire to
learn, and be capable of adapting quickly across job functions and
responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform
installation, calibration, and maintenance on instrumentation and
automation systems used in the oil and gas industry. (Upstream and
Mid-Stream)
- Recognize
and repair PLCs and HMI systems (Schneider Electric, Allen Bradley)
- Implement
and diagnose communication systems including Rosemount, and Hart Protocols
- Configure
and troubleshoot variable frequency drives
- Adhere
to all safety rules, regulations, policy, procedure, and practices at all
times.
Qualifications
- 1+ years Programmable Logic
Controllers
- 3+ years Mechanical Knowledge:
- 3+
years of experience Implementing and diagnosing communication systems
including Rosemount, and Hart Protocols
- Candidate
must live within a 75-mile radius of the job site.
- Candidate
must possess a valid driver's license with no restrictions that would
prohibit driving a company vehicle.
- Must
be able to pass a pre-employment physical/background and drug screen.
Education:
- High school or equivalent
- Some college or technical
training preferred
- Journeyman license referred but
not required.
